The Scars of Our Hands

Kay, a young man released from prison for serial arson, spends his time drifting from town to town. When his brother, Arthur, a sheriff in the Rocky Mountains, appears and asks for Kay’s help to track down his old accomplice, Specter, Kay reluctantly agrees and the two begin their quest through the Rockies. Throughout their journey, the events of Kay’s past are revealed by Specter, leading to the startling revelation that Arthur betrayed his brother by calling in his arrest. During the ensuing confrontation, Kay beats Arthur and the two go their separate ways. Kay meets Joe, a nomadic hippie who offers him insight into his past through a drug-induced dream where Kay confronts his inner-ego, manifesting as a beautiful and demonic woman named Kate. After waking up and realizing that his real enemy is his own selfishness, Kay rushes to join Arthur in facing Specter. In the following conflict, Kay takes a bullet for Arthur and stops Specter, finally finding peace in his sacrificial act.
